Workflow Update for Chromium Next GEM Assays

Learn more about a change in the recommended loading technique

What do I need to know?

  • We are updating our best practice loading guidance for 50% glycerol solution from 45 µl to 150 µl in unused recovery wells for all Next GEM–based assays.
  • This change improves consistency, ensuring that the recovery well loading volume is large enough to guard against deviations from our best practice recommendations.
  • Additional best practices for loading chips should still be followed: e.g., loading at the center of the well near the bottom and raising the pipette tip as liquid is dispensed.

Please note this change is immediate and does not alter the loading recommendations for HT workflows or GEM-X workflows.
